Artist and Fantasying

The chief motif of Sigmund Freud’s collection of essays is fantasy and unintentional action. The compiler and translator of the Latvian edition is Igors Šuvajevs.

The works of Sigmund Freud (1856–1939) included in the collection are published for the first time in Latvian. In them, Freud talks about art and the artist (poet, writer, painter, etc.). The author is interested not only in the works of art, but also in their creator’s – the artist, the poet, etc. – everyday life.
