The message of the memoir "On the Road" by Gidons Krēmers, a musician whose work still carries Latvia's name far and wide in the world, was written over more than 15 years. It combines two parts - "Fragments of Childhood", in which the artist tells about his childhood in Riga until 1965, when he entered the Moscow Conservatory, and "Artist between nations", which reflects on the period spent in Moscow from 1965 to 1980.
