The collection Zonas (Zones) comprises texts produced over the aforementioned ten-year period, reflecting the maturing of the author's personality and literary style.
Zones, as the name suggests, covers different spheres or zones of life: there is the personal experience with scenes of childhood and youth, and the expansion of the intellectual world, reflecting on different cultural events and history of Latvia, but also, as befits, the emotional experience of love that passes through the personal relationships story reflected in poetry. At the same time, Zones is also an effort to acquire a wide range of poetry writing experiences, not being afraid of classical solutions or experiments, and paying homage to the works of contemporaries and other Latvian and foreign poets whose impressions are scattered all through the collection.
