A novel by one of the most outstanding Lithuanian prose writers Romualdas Granauskas (1939–2014) is featuring a mysterious love and life story of the teacher D. against the background of the tragic postwar period. Profound depiction of the protagonists' destinies, the truth of life, and a live flow of the author's language is the material on which the symbolic monument - kenotaf - is built.
The book includes also a short story "Ar taureni uz lūpām" ("With a butterfly on lips").
