Debut poetry collection Circles by Linda Gabarajeva.

Linda Gabarajeva's poetry is characterized by precise observation - feelings and thoughts are embodied in concrete, tangible reality. In this sense, Gabarajeva continues the modernist tradition in which ideas and things were declared to be unified. She is also known in this tradition as a skilled translator and connoisseur of American poetry. One should not think that modernist aesthetics is an end in itself here, rather it is a tastefully used set of tools to achieve new goals. The contemporaneity of Gabaraeva's poetry can be considered - attraction to places and people, such as Kandava, mother and son. An attraction to that which makes one search for pure language, because a played expression would be treason. Gabarajeva has found this language surprisingly quickly, and its effect on the reader is immediate.
